SLC Weekend Guide: Edition 3

THE SALT LAKE CITY WEEKEND GUIDE CONTINUES! Yes, we are pretty pumped that we get to continue to write about all of the amazing things going on in the city we now call home!

Friday – Aug 7th

5:pm /Chocolate Tour and Tasting /Ritual Chocolate Park City – Ummm, yessss please. We discovered Ritual Chocolate a couple of weekends ago at the Park City Sunday Silly market and where even more excited the see that they did tours of their factory. The tours last about an hour in which you get a walk through of their chocolate making process, that ends with a tasting of each of their chocolate bars. Just typing chocolate that many times makes me excited.

4:40- 6:45pm / Tour of Utah / The Tour of Utah is one of only five UCI-sanctioned, multi-stage, North American pro cycling events, that holds stage 5 in downtown Salt Lake this Friday. We are highlighting this mostly because I am always curious why roads are blocked off downtown and because getting a view of the finish line would be really epic. Here is a link to the route and where to best view all the action.

5- 10pm / Craft Lake City / I am pumped about this DIY fest that is taking over Gallivan Center this Friday and Saturday. You can buy tickets ahead of time or they are $5 cash at the door. There a variety of workshops you could participate in and a great collection of goods from local makers.

Saturday – Aug 8th

8am- 2pm / Downtown Farmers Market / Because I have recently become addicted to Salsa Del Diablo‘s Pumpkin Salsa and I want the whole world to try it, you should stop by the farmers market and pick some up.

7- 9pm / Snow Bird Cool Air Concert Series / This free outdoor concert takes place on the Plaza Deck up at Snow Bird. An awesome soul band from Texas called the Suffers will be preforming until 9pm and then if you care to mosey over to The Arie Lounge on the resort the party continues with more live music.
